Westchester Women's Summit to kick off this week in White Plains

The event was formed to inspire, empower and elevate the women who call the tri-state home, and will take place on March 10 at the Sonesta Downtown.

The Westchester Women's Summit is set to take place in downtown White Plains this week during Women's History Month.
The event was formed to inspire, empower and elevate the women who call the tri-state home, and will take place on March 10 at the Sonesta Downtown.

It will offer a host of workshops, including public speaking, self-defense, how to negotiate, paths of empowerment and making a difference. 
"It's a place where we hope women will come together to find tools and resources, and hone some skills and make new friends," says Rose Cappa Rotunno. "One of the phrases that we are using often is, "'we rise while lifting others up.'"
One of the keynote speakers of the summit will be April Ryan, the longest-serving African American female White House correspondent in history.
News 12's Tara Rosenblum will be moderating her discussion.
Attorney General Letitia James will also be a keynote speaker.
