Westchester's Youth Bureau director nominated for state commissioner of Office of Children and Family Services

Dr. Damia Harris-Madden will become acting commissioner next month.

The executive director of the Westchester County Youth Bureau has been nominated to become the state commissioner of the Office of Children and Family Services.
Dr. Damia Harris-Madden will become acting commissioner next month.
She has spent 20 years working in various sectors, including government, education, business and nonprofit. Previously, she served in four mayoral cabinets in the City of Mount Vernon.
Gov. Kathy Hochul says Harris-Madden is a tested and experienced leader.
The state Senate must approve her nomination.
