The wicked weather conditions that swept through the Hudson Valley last night forced the emergency landing of a medical helicopter that was transporting an 8-year-old stroke victim.
The little girl was being taken from Sullivan County to Westchester Medical Center at about 7 p.m. when the pilot realized it was too dangerous to continue flying and landed at the Nyack High School football field.
The 8-year-old was then taken by a Rockland Mobil Care Paramedic unit to the hospital and is expected to be OK because of quick decisions made by the emergency crews involved.
