WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Winter Returns, Snow Risk Tuesday
Overnight temperatures are in the teens. Wind chill values will be from 0 to 10 degrees for the Monday morning commute and only warm up to just near 30 despite mostly sunny skies.
Snow and sleet are expected on Tuesday afternoon before turning into plain rain Tuesday evening and overnight. Little to no snow accumulations are expected as of Sunday night.
The rest of the week is cloudy, with daily rain chances. High temperatures are near or a few degrees above the average.
Warm weather is possible after this week, with high temperatures approaching the upper 50s, perhaps even the mid to upper 60s, away from the Hudson River and Long Island Sound, where water temperatures are colder than normal.
