A winter storm to the south of the Hudson Valley will be gradually heading north today, bringing wet wintry weather to the region.
News 12 Meteorologist Brysen van Eck says light or a wintry mix of snow and rain will start falling in Rockland and Westchester counties after 1 p.m. today. He says the precipitation will change over to all rain between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. with little to no accumulation.
In Orange and Dutchess counties, light snow will start falling after 1 p.m., but change over to all rain by 9 p.m. Van Eck thinks the area will get a coating to one inch of accumulation.
Temperatures for the rest of the week should have highs in the 40s.
