A woman is recovering in the hospital after she crashed her car into a building in Yonkers on Tuesday.
A person who witnessed the event says the woman pulled up to a McDonald's drive-thru window in a Ford Escape around 6 p.m.
The person says she looked angry and tense and would not respond to workers requesting her order.
The woman then inched up and spontaneously drove across two lanes on Nepperhan Avenue and into a former HSBC bank across the street.
The woman damaged a 10-foot section of windows, and possibly damaged the structure of the building.
Officials say the woman was extricated and was unconscious at the time of her rescue. She was taken to a local hospital, but there was no word on her injuries.
No one was in the car with her, and the HSBC building was empty at the time of the crash.
