Women of Distinction were honored Wednesday night at an award ceremony in Yonkers.

The award is presented each year during March to celebrate Women's History Month.

The award recognizes Yonkers women who have served their local community and positively impacted the lives of residents.

The ceremony was held in Yonkers City Hall.
