A new Elmsford dance studio celebrated its grand opening Saturday after the owner's long journey to realize it.
After two years in the making, Brandon Whyte is now living his dream, one step at a time.
"We've also been bouncing around from local gyms to a local center, to different places – and finally found the right spot," said the 24-year-old.
The Dream Dance Studio is where future dancers learn to move, create and enjoy.
"I want to be like every teacher, I want to be somebody who does everything," said student Amberae Price.
Whyte's hopes of opening his own dance studio began with years of building a following while teaching dance in public parks.
Whyte's East Main Street studio gives classes Monday through Saturday and include hip hop, Zumba, ballet and even ballroom dancing. All ages are welcomed.
On the grand opening day, Dream Dance Studio already proved to be a crowd pleaser and Whyte couldn't be happier.
"We're going to win competitions, we're going to win trophies, 'America's Got Talent,' ...I look forward to that," he said.
