Yonkers first responders rescue man from Hudson River

Police say they responded to the Yonkers train station at around 1 p.m. Sunday after someone was heard screaming for help from the river.

A man was rescued from the Hudson River by Yonkers police and fire crews on Saturday afternoon.
Police say they responded to the Yonkers train station at around 1 p.m. after someone was heard screaming for help from the river.
Units heard the man from a tunnel under the station, according to authorities.
Police say rescue crews were able to save the man as he was clinging to a rock in six feet of water with an incoming tide.
The man was hospitalized and treated for hypothermia.
