In January 2023, the video showed Anthoin McPherson picking up his pit bull and tossing it against a storefront.
The Westchester D.A.'s office says he pleaded guilty to animal cruelty.
On Thursday, he was sentenced to three years of probation and required to register with an animal cruelty registry.
The dog, named Maximus, was 8 months old at the time and has since been adopted by a family.
