Yonkers man pleads guilty in drunk driving crash that killed teen

Stephen Dolan, of Yonkers, pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter in the second degree, leaving the scene of an incident without report and DWI, according to the Westchester District Attorney's Office.

A 47-year-old Yonkers man pleaded guilty in a drunk driving crash that killed a 16-year-old.
Stephen Dolan, of Yonkers, pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter in the second degree, leaving the scene of an incident without report and DWI, according to the Westchester District Attorney's Office.
Dolan was driving his van on McLean Avenue in August 2022 when he struck 16 -year-old Christopher Hackett on an electric scooter.
Dolan was arrested the next day.
He will begin serving his sentence next Thursday but will be formally sentenced Dec. 14.
He's been promised a sentence of 1 1/2 to four years in prison.
The district attorney's office had sought a sentence of 2 1/3 to seven years.
