A bomb threat that was later deemed not credible prompted the evacuation of Riverside High School in Yonkers.
The threat came in around 11 a.m. Monday, a district spokesperson said. Police and a K-9 unit swept the school before giving the all-clear.
Classes resumed around 12:15 p.m.
Jayme Downes, a special education teacher, “commended” the students for how they handled the situation.
“They remained calm, cool...the staff members remained calm and of course Yonkers police did an excellent job to ensure all staff and students were safe," she said.
