Yonkers police take on fire department in a charity boxing match

Yonkers' finest and bravest are holding a boxing match Friday night to benefit some organizations.

Yonkers' finest and bravest held a boxing match Friday night to benefit some organizations.
The event at the Yonkers Police Athletic League Center on Broadway also caused some street closures.
North Broadway, from Wells to Ashburton Avenues, was closed until the conclusion of the event around 11 p.m.
Parking was restricted in the area, and bus stops were also being impacted along the same route.
The Yonkers "PD vs. FD Toughman" charity boxing event benefited the Yonkers PA and the Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center.
Yonkers police were in the ring against the fire department in nine bouts. Each bout was three one-minute round.
This was the eleventh time they've held this event.
As of Friday night, the event raised $700,000.
