Yonkers provides sandbags for residents, businesses ahead of storm

At the Yonkers Recycling Center, the Department of Public Works gave out sandbags to residents - either for their homes or their businesses- to protect against potential flooding because water pressure in the past has broken though windows and doors.

As the Hudson Valley braces for Ida and its torrential rain, the city of Yonkers gave out sandbags.
At the Yonkers Recycling Center, the Department of Public Works gave out sandbags to residents - either for their homes or their businesses- to protect against potential flooding because water pressure in the past has broken though windows and doors.
Those in need sandbags went to the Yonkers Recycling Center at 735 Saw Mill River Road.
Those having a problem with flooding can call the Mayor's Help Line at 914-377-HELP (4357).
