Voters in the Yorktown Central School District have overwhelmingly approved two capital projects propositions totaling $57 million, signaling significant improvements for the district.

The first proposition encompasses expansions to three elementary schools within the district: Brookside, Crompond, and Mohansic Elementary Schools. These expansions aim to accommodate the growing student population and enhance the learning environment.

The second proposition focuses on crucial infrastructure upgrades, including the installation of an emergency generator and renovations to the Mohansic School cafeteria. These enhancements are designed to improve safety measures and provide better facilities for students and staff.
