A Yorktown teenager diagnosed with transverse myelitis is taking his disease head on and winning the battle.
Charlie DeGennaro was diagnosed with the neurological disease that affects roughly 1,400 people a year, most of them being teenagers, back in February 2020.
Despite the diagnosis he may never walk again, DeGennaro continues to fight and is now trying out for his high school basketball team next year.
