A park in Yorktown will reopen this Saturday after a sinkhole forced it to close for three months.
The sinkhole at the Algonquin Enbridge Gas Transmission Pipeline in Woodlands Legacy Fields emerged on Christmas Eve.
Officials poured fill material into the sinkhole to ensure support for the pipeline.
The company will be doing semi-weekly aerial patrols of the gas, monthly site visits and electrical resistance surveys to ensure that new sinkholes do not form.
Enbridge officials are scheduled to attend a Town Board meeting on April 18 to give an update.
