Youth basketball camps are being held throughout the borough this week.Coach Derrick Whittenburg is holding his annual co-ed camp at Fordham, where he takes a lighthearted approach to teaching basketball. Whittenburg has his Fordham players working at the camp. He says it gives his players an opportunity to learn the game from a different perspective. Coach Fred Opper has been running his basketball camp at Cardinal Spellman High School for 12 years. The camp caters to boys between the ages of 7 to 17 and this week Opper says he has 98 kids enrolled.
