A 13-year-old was struck by a car in the village of Kiryas Joel on Wednesday evening, according to state troopers.

The incident occurred when a 19-year-old from Monroe was driving along Seven Springs Mountain Road.

Authorities say the young teen entered the roadway and was hit by the vehicle.

The 13-year-old was taken to Westchester Medical Center with minor injuries.

No tickets have been issued in connection with the collision.
