Ex-treasurer of Mahopac FD admits to embezzling over $5.5M
<p>A former treasurer of the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department has pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $5.5 million from the department. Officials say Michael Klein admitted to one count of wire fraud, six counts of subscribing to false tax returns, one count of obstructing a grand jury investigation and one count of making false statements.
