Affordable housing in Mamaroneck is taking the spotlight for the next two nights. It stems over two specific proposals for the Hunter Tier Lot, located on Prospect Avenue.

It's currently a public parking garage but the proposals are to transform the space into affordable housing options.

Earlier this year, the public was invited to submit questions and concerns they had on the proposals, along with the use of affordable housing in the village. 900 questions were submitted.

On Wednesday night, the mayor and trustees will be asking these questions to the potential developers who have made proposals on the site.

There will not be an open Q & A from the audience.

On Thursday night, there will be a moderated discussion about affordable housing in general.

Both meetings are at 7 p.m. at the Emelin Theatre in Mamaroneck. They are open to the public, but tickets are required.

You can read the affordable housing proposals on the Village of Mamaroneck's website here.
