National Night Out events change due to weather concerns

Residents are advised to check with their local police department for any more possible changes to National Night Out events.

Many local police departments are making changes to their National Night Out events because of tonight’s weather concerns.

Events in Yonkers have been rescheduled for Aug. 13, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., at four locations in the community. Mount Vernon and Brookfield have also reschedule until Aug. 13.

In Port Jervis, the event has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 28, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Riverside Park.

Warwick Police announced its event is now rescheduled to Wednesday, Aug. 21, from 5 p.m.-8 p.m., at Veterans Memorial Park.

Croton-on-Hudson's event at the Stanley H. Kellerman Municipal Building park lot will begin today at 4 p.m. and end by 7 p.m.

The Town of Poughkeepsie PBA will still have their event tonight from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Greenvale Park.

The events in Tuckahoe, Eastchester, Bronxville, Bedford, Fallsburg, Newburgh, and the Town of Wallkill will not take place tonight and will be rescheduled.

Residents are advised to check with their local police department for any more possible changes to National Night Out events.
