"Wicked: Part One" officially opens in theaters on Friday, and some movie theaters in Westchester and the Hudson Valley are encouraging residents to support local theaters by amping up the experience.

The Bedford Playhouse will be transformed into the world of Oz for its 7 p.m. screening Friday. Guests can enjoy custom cookies and movie-themed cocktails in the theater's cafe.

Prior to the screening, audience members will also take part in a 30-minute Q&A session with Dan Micciche, the current conductor and musical director of "Wicked" on Broadway. He'll share what it takes to keep the show running both on Broadway and across America on the national tour, as well as share his thoughts on the "Wicked" film, which he says pays great homage to the stage show.

"I've been with the show in all different positions for the last 10 years, and it's such a massive beast of a show," he said. "The way it was directed by Jon Chu, and all the actors and actresses in the company, just took it to a whole [other] level."

Micciche's appearance comes after he organized many concerts with Bedford Playhouse throughout the past four years. These concerts feature Broadway stars at private events, corporate gatherings, resort concerts and more. Those who wish to learn more information or book a concert can do so HERE.

Pleasantville's Jacob Burns Film Center is also taking part in the fun. It will offer "Wicked"-themed cocktails and mocktails crafted by Crawdaddy’s Friday night. There will also be a live performance by the Music Conservatory of Westchester Saturday at 6:30 p.m.

Select Pleasantville businesses will also have discounts for anyone who shows their JBFC tickets for "Wicked."
