A 17-year-old was arrested Saturday in Poughkeepsie, police said.

Officers were investigating suspected drug activity near Rose Street in the morning when they encountered the teen.

They confiscated a semi-automatic handgun and found narcotics in his possession.

The teen was taken to the Juvenile Aid Bureau for arraignment.
