News 12 talked about tariffs with the owner of Down to Earth Living, a store that sells things from all over the world for home and garden in Pomona.
Owner Stuart Leventhal gave News 12 a tour around the showroom, which has outdoor furniture sets on display from China, Costa Rica, Mexico, Indonesia and the United States.
"I would like to see the day when tariffs end," said Leventhal, who offered his perspective on tariffs as a business who has dealt with them over the years.
He spoke about how others are adjusting.
"The Vietnamese tariffs are lower than China. So a lot of the Asian manufacturers have been moving their production to lower tariff countries," he says.
Leventhal suggests prices may be better now for consumers than in the future.
"We don't know what that tariff is going to be when it lands," he said. "Since it's on the water for 30 days, the tariff that we projected to pay may be very different than the tariff we actually pay."
News 12 spoke to shoppers about whether tariffs are something they're thinking about when shopping. One woman said no.
