Demands are growing to fix a state road in the Town of Greenburgh.
"It's always a bit chaotic," says one Greenburgh resident.
People have a lot to say about Knollwood Road.
"You're driving down and feel your car going boom, boom, boom, boom," says Greenburgh resident Larry Curran.
Curran knows it well. He has driven on it a lot through the years.
"This has gotten worse over the years," Curran explains to News 12.
Frequent drivers say they are concerned about the potholes, drainage and the lack of sidewalks.
"The holes on the road, it's damage to the car," says Johan who, frequently drives in the area.
Relief could be on the horizon.
The Greenburgh town supervisor says after pushing for a sidewalk for at least a decade, one is finally coming, thanks to a grant by the state.
It will go from the Westchester Community College toward Route 119.
Drainage improvements are also on the list.
A spokesperson with the New York State Department of Transportation says NYSDOT is progressing a resurfacing project for Knollwood Road and expects work to begin later this summer.
