Expect a back-and-forth weather day for the start of April with spotty rain showers and mostly cloudy skies. It is warm with low 60s for the beach and out east. Most of Long Island will be in the 60s and low 70s.
There will be several hours of very nice weather before a chance for spotty showers and even a rumble of thunder in the evening. That chance will mostly be after 5 p.m. Any thunderstorm would be brief. A better chance for rain and a rumble of thunder will move in after 9 p.m. and through the overnight hours into early Thursday.
After early morning periods of rain, expect a much cooler day with a mostly cloudy sky. Highs will be in the 40s and a stray rain shower will be possible through the day, but much of the day will be more dry than wet.
FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy with a spotty rain shower chance, but much of the day will be dry. Highs near 58 degrees. Lows near 50 degrees.
SATURDAY: Partly sunny to mostly cloudy. Most of the day is dry with a slight chance for a passing rain shower. Highs around 63 degrees. Lows near 46 degrees.
SUNDAY: EASTER - Mostly cloudy with on and off showers. There will be an increasing chance of showers and an isolated thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening. Highs around 60 degrees.
MONDAY: Partly sunny to mostly cloudy. Highs in the 50s
TUESDAY: Sun and clouds. Highs in the 50s
