Passover began Wednesday evening, marking a major Jewish holiday celebrated by millions around the world, including families gathering in Stamford.
This week’s Main Street Connecticut takes a look inside Rye Ridge Deli, where Passover traditions are being observed.
Passover includes special dinners, specific foods and different practices related to work and rest during the holiday.
Symbolic foods play a central role in the celebration. They include matzah, a flat unleavened bread, along with herbs, egg and wine or grape juice.
