At least 26 vehicles hit in overnight vandalism spree in Linden, Cranford

Detectives say a single suspect is behind the vandalism that occurred to 19 vehicles between 3:30 and 4 a.m. in Linden.

Dozens of vehicles were vandalized in Union County early Tuesday morning in a rash of overnight damage to cars, according to police.

Detectives say a single suspect is behind the vandalism that occurred to 19 vehicles between 3:30 and 4 a.m. in Linden.

They say the suspect is likely responsible for similar crimes in other parts of Linden, as well as across Union County.

Cranford police say they have taken seven criminal mischief reports involving vehicles having smashed windshields occurring overnight into early Tuesday.

Police in Linden are asking anyone with information to contact them. Linden detectives can be reached at (908) 474-8662.
