A West Deptford man has pleaded guilty to attempted murder and related weapons and drug charges in connection with a 2024 shooting outside an Atlantic City bar, prosecutors said.
Rockwell Pohlig, 35, entered the plea on March 31 to attempted murder, possession of a handgun for an unlawful purpose and other charges.
Prosecutors said Pohlig admitted to shooting the victim, identified only as N.R., with a handgun outside the Chelsea Pub in Atlantic City on Oct. 12, 2024, with the intent to kill him.
Authorities said Pohlig turned himself in at the Atlantic County Justice Facility on Oct. 17, 2024, and admitted to bringing more than one ounce of synthetic cannabinoid into the jail with the intent to distribute it to other inmates.
Sentencing is scheduled for June 9 at the Superior Court in Atlantic County.
Additional charges to which he pleaded guilty are possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute and certain persons not to possess a handgun.
