A federal jury convicted two accused gang members of murder, racketeering and several other offenses Thursday in Central Islip.

Federal prosecutors say Akeem Chambers, of Uniondale, was responsible for 11 shootings and three homicides.

Those crimes include the murders of James Diamond in Freeport and Thiasia Williams in Hempstead, according to officials.

Jonathan Vazquez, of Hempstead, was also convicted for his role in killing a 19-year-old in Hempstead and shooting at two Nassau police officers.

Prosecutors say both men were members of the Insane Crip Gang on Long Island and the Rollin 60s in Brooklyn.

The two face a maximum of life in prison when sentenced.
