On "4/20 Day," the Connecticut House voted to make THC-infused drinks stronger.

Monday’s bill would raise the THC level from 3 milligrams to 5 milligrams – in line with neighboring Massachusetts.

"There are a number of folks who own businesses in Connecticut and Massachusetts, and they tell us that a large number of their sales in Massachusetts come from Connecticut residents who are driving across the border,” said state Rep. Roland Lemar (D- New Haven).

Some lawmakers were vocal about their opposition to the increased dosage.

"The fact that we're all up here trying to play out somebody's adolescent fantasy about doing something about weed on 4/20 is embarrassing," State Rep. Dave Rutigliano (R- Trumbull).

Stores asked lawmakers to raise the THC limit to 10 milligrams, but they settled on 5.

The bill next heads to the Connecticut Senate.
