State police: New Hampshire woman allegedly led troopers on a pursuit on I-95
State police were informed just before 11:40 p.m. Friday that Stamford officers were pursuing a gray Toyota RAV4 on I-95 north near Exit 10 in Darien. Police say that vehicle, driven by Amy Palchevskiy, was involved in a hit-and-run collision in the city prior to the pursuit.

A New Hampshire woman is facing numerous charges for allegedly leading state police troopers on a pursuit on I-95, state police say.
State police were informed just before 11:40 p.m. Friday that Stamford officers were pursuing a gray Toyota RAV4 on I-95 north near Exit 10 in Darien. Police say that vehicle, driven by Amy Palchevskiy, was involved in a hit-and-run collision in the city prior to the pursuit.
Stamford police ended the pursuit near Exit 13.
Troopers attempted to locate the vehicle near Exit 18 in Westport and stop it, but Palchevskiy continued traveling. They were eventually able to box the car in and stop it near Exit 26 in Bridgeport.
Palchevskiy was taken into custody.
Troopers found a firearm, a SOG tomahawk axe and a 12-inch machete inside the Toyota.
Palchevskiy's charges included reckless driving, disobeying signal of an officer, illegal possession of a weapon in motor vehicle and carrying a pistol without a permit.
Police say Palchevskiy temporarily surrendered to York Correction Institution on a $100,000 bond. She was expected to appear in court Monday.
