A Galloway woman was sentenced to five years in prison on Thursday for unlawfully possessing a firearm and attempting to deal drugs, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutors Office.
Authorities arrested 28-year-old, Medina Hayes, in May after a search of two local apartments and vehicle uncovered fentanyl, heroin and crack cocaine.
Investigators also found a semi-automatic handgun, a digital scale containing white residue and thousands of dollars in cash.
Hayes pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a handgun and possession with the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance.
Officials say she will be subject to a one-year period of parole ineligibility with a forfeiture of $10,003.
