A nearly stationary weather system will allow a storm to flow through the area. Occasional showers are likely through early afternoon. Steadier, more consistent rain will develop late this afternoon, sometime after 3 p.m.
The weather really goes downhill tonight. Copious but beneficial rainfall will saturate the grounds. The rain will be spread out over an amount of time that would disallow for flooding, but could be very precarious for anyone heading out this evening.
On Sunday, expect showers for the morning hours. The wet weather should be slowly saying its farewell just before lunchtime on Sunday, with some latest data showing rain departing perhaps as early as 10 a.m.
Monday will be filled with sunshine. Even though looking out to the middle of next week is a meteorological lifetime down the road, the developing weather pattern looks unsettled in that time.
