Gunman remains on the run after Sunset Park shooting

Police say the alleged gunman was last seen wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, black pants and a backpack.

Police say a 31-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot multiple times early Monday morning in Sunset Park.

Officers responded to a 911 call just after 3:30 a.m. for a person shot on 58th Street. When they arrived, they found the man with gunshot wounds to his left leg and torso.

Emergency crews rushed him to Maimonides Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition.

Investigators say it is unclear what led to the shooting.
