A wallaby is back home after it escaped from the Cape May County Zoo.

Cletus, a 2-year-old wallaby, escaped from his habitat Monday night. The sheriff's office launched a search for the animal - which is a little smaller than a kangaroo - Tuesday morning.

The wallaby was found later in the day in a nearby neighborhood, according to the Cape May County Zoo.

"Cletus was located and returned to the Zoo by the dedicated Cape May County Park & Zoo team, working together with officers from the County Sheriff's Department," the zoo said in a social media post.

It was not immediately clear how it got out of the zoo.
