A crash involving two tractor-trailers caused major delays on I-84 in Southeast on Monday, according to police.

Police say one truck was entering the roadway from the I-684/Route 9W ramp when the driver failed to maintain the lane and overturned.

Another tractor-trailer attempted to avoid the overturned vehicle, entered the median and also overturned.

Officials say both drivers were taken to Danbury Hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

Video from the scene shows debris scattered across the highway following the crash. Cleanup lasted for hours as crews worked to clear the wreckage and reopen lanes.

The crash caused significant backups along the highway before traffic fully reopened.
