A popular musical is taking center stage at the library with a week of themed events in Ossining.
The Ossining Public Library is hosting “Hamilton Week,” featuring activities and programs inspired by the show.
Events include a crafting activity Tuesday at 4 p.m. and a song lyrics collage workshop on Thursday.
A screening of the film version was also held over the weekend.
Library leaders say the show resonates with many in the community.
“I know it's probably not a good choice to make in honor of America's 250th anniversary, but You'll Be Back is my favorite song,” says Molly Marinaro, Head of Patron Services at the Ossining Public Library.
Others shared their favorite songs, including “Wait for Me” and “One Last Time.”
Staff say the week also includes raffles, activities for kids and other surprises.
