A lost hiker in Orange County is facing charges after state police say he was found with drugs.

Troopers say the incident happened in Harriman State Park.

Authorities say 30-year-old Jashiya Smith allegedly took mushrooms and became separated from his group after an argument.

Officials say Smith later called for help when he became lost.

State police say they located him on Arden Valley Road in the Town of Tuxedo.

Investigators say he was in possession of mushrooms at the time.

Smith is now charged with possession of a hallucinogen.
