Police: Intoxicated 16-year-old driver caused crash that sends two to hospital in Rockland

A drunk teen driver caused a crash that left two people injured early Monday morning in Ramapo.

The crash happened around 3:45 a.m., according to the Spring Hill Community Ambulance Corps.

Emergency crews found a vehicle lodged into a tree and bushes at the scene.

Officials say everyone inside the car got out before first responders arrived.

Two people were taken to hospitals for evaluation and treatment.

Authorities say the driver was a 16-year-old who was intoxicated at the time of the crash.

Police say the teen was arrested.

The driver’s identity has not been released because of their age.

Officials have not confirmed how many people were inside the vehicle.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
