A Westchester County man suffered serious burn injuries after a boat fire in Mamaroneck.

Police say the incident happened in a parking lot on Hoyt Avenue.

Investigators say a 58-year-old Larchmont man was working on his boat when a spark ignited combustible materials.

The fire left the man with serious burns to his face and leg.

He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Authorities say no one else was injured.

Police continue to investigate the incident.
