Police say a man is dead after being run over by a construction vehicle in Putnam Valley.

It happened Friday evening around 5 p.m. at a home on Park Drive in the Town of Putnam Valley.

Police say they responded to a report of a person who had been run over by a skid steer.

A 56-year-old male was found deceased at the scene.

Police say it appears to be accidental, but it is under investigation.
