‘Nothing more than a monster.’ Man sentenced to 10 years for sexually abusing child

Two people were injured following a shooting Thursday afternoon in Bridgeport, police say.

Police initially said the victims were all juveniles, but now say an adult and a juvenile were shot.

It happened around 4 p.m. in the area of Laurel Avenue and Grove Street.

Police say the department received a ShotSpotter activation around that time and simultaneously received 911 calls about shootings there.

Detectives are actively working to locate the shooter who left the area.
