A person who fell 30 feet down an embankment was saved Friday afternoon in Tarrytown.
Firefighters responded to the scene on I-87 around 1:25 p.m. Multiple units worked with New York State Police, MTA police Emergency Service Unit and Tarrytown EMS personnel.
Low-angle rescue systems were established, which allowed crews to descend the embankment and bring the person back to safety.
The individual was then turned over to the local ambulance corps. There is no word on their condition.
