Several Westchester County schools are among the best public high schools in the state, according to new rankings from U.S. News & World Report.
U.S. News reviewed more than 27,000 public high schools across the country.
Harrison High School ranked number four in New York state, while Dobbs Ferry High School placed seventh and Yonkers High School ranked ninth.
The rankings are based on college readiness, state assessment scores and performance, graduation rates, access to advanced coursework and how well underserved students perform compared with state averages.
Brooklyn Latin School was ranked No. 1 in New York and No. 73 nationally.
Brooklyn Prospect Charter School ranked 10th in New York state.
