MTA track worker struck and killed by oncoming train near Yankee Stadium

An MTA track worker died after being hit by a train near Yankee Stadium, according to an MTA source.
The MTA says it happened just before midnight at 161st Street.
The MTA says Moet McCullum was working as a construction flagger when she was hit. Police say she was 41 years old.
Sources close to the investigation tell News 12 that McCullum was working on the tracks when she was hit.
The MTA issued a statement
“This is a difficult day. Last night, we tragically lost a member of our MTA family. Moet McCullum, a New York City Transit construction flagger, was struck and killed by a D train at 161 St-Yankee Stadium station just after 11:30. The incident is under investigation. I was at the hospital last night, and this morning I was at the scene, and I met with her family. I have also spoken with Chair Lieber and TWU Local 100 President John Chiarello -- all of us are heartbroken. I ask that we all keep Ms. McCullum and her family in our thoughts and prayers."
TWU Local 100 representatives say McCullum was a mother of three who had completed nearly a year on the job. She was a conductor doing routine construction flagging.
