A Peekskill man was arrested for animal cruelty after he was caught on camera violently slamming a senior dog into a grooming table during a nail trimming, according to the Westchester SPCA.
Officials say the video was taken when Cole Kamrath was an employee of Dogtopia, a dog day care business in Mount Kisco.
It shows Kamrath slamming Milo, a 14-pound rat terrier, until he collapses and loses consciousness.
Milo’s owners later noticed he wasn’t walking properly, constantly sleeping and lost his appetite.
The owners rushed him to a local veterinarian, who found bruising indicative of recent trauma all along his torso.
Officials say Kamrath is scheduled to appear in Mount Kisco Court on Sept. 24.
