Officials: 25-year-old Pleasantville man accused of killing girlfriend

Atlantic County prosecutors say Leslianet Quintana Betancourt was found unresponsive in a Pleasantville home shortly before 2 a.m. Monday and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

A 25-year-old Pleasantville man has been charged with murder and evidence tampering in connection with the death of his girlfriend, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
Prosecutors say Leslianet Quintana Betancourt was found unresponsive in a Pleasantville home shortly before 2 a.m. Monday and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
An investigation revealed that Betancourt suffered from multiple blunt-force injuries before her death. Her boyfriend, Boris Lainez-Rosales, with whom she shared a home, has been charged with her murder.
Lainez-Rosales is currently being held at the Atlantic County jail, awaiting a hearing.
