An inflatable jumping castle filled with kids flipped over during a Passover celebration in New Square today, sending four children to the hospital.
The incident happened at around 12:30 p.m. in a parking lot along Washington Avenue, where several bounce houses were set up for a holiday carnival.
Police say a big gust of wind knocked one of the structures over, causing the girls to fall. Investigators say three of the children, ages 2, 4 and 6, were taken to Westchester County Medical Center, while a 5-year-old girl was taken to Nyack Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
When police arrived on the scene, each of the bounce houses was deflated and inspected to make sure that there were no children trapped inside.
Police say there doesn't seem to be any sign of negligence, but they are still investigating.
